Albert Shoals is the lower of two broad, riverwide shoal-style waterfalls found along the Yellow River in Stonecrest. These powerful shoals drop about 8 feet and are surrounded by impressive rock formations in a secluded setting. Albert Shoals can be reached via an unmarked side path from a powerline cut along the paved Rockdale River PATH Trail. The hike is about 0.4 mile from the DeCastro Trailhead.
