Barnes Creek Falls is a tumbling 15-foot roadside waterfall located in the Cohutta Mountains. You don't have to be a hiker to see this one, as anybody can drive right up to it. The waterfall is located at the Barnes Creek Falls Picnic Area along FR 68 (Potato Patch Road). The drive to Barnes Creek Falls includes nearly 3 miles of dirt forest roads, but the roads are generally in good condition for most passenger vehicles. This waterfall is especially scenic in wet weather, featuring more of a twin drop.
