Bearden Falls

Chattahoochee National Forest

Dawson County
Dahlonega, GA

GPS Location:

34.60777, -84.19648

Waterfall Height:

120 feet

Bearden Falls is the easternmost of the Three Sister Waterfalls, a trio of spectacular and towering waterfalls in northern Dawson County. Although Bearden Falls is the smallest of the three at a humble 120 feet, it's still one of the tallest waterfalls in the region. A large boulder at the base affords the perfect overview of the multi-tier series of tumbling drops found at Bearden Falls. Located in the upper reaches of Beaverdam Creek, Bearden Falls lies in a slightly smaller watershed than the other sisters, so its flow can slightly low during the drier times of summer and fall.

Bearden Falls can be accessed via a moderate 1.5-mile hike along an unmarked trail, featuring several creek crossings. The trail begins along Nimblewill Gap Road (FR 28-2).
