Blackwell Cove Falls is a small 15-foot waterfall located in an area north of Rich Mountain known as Blackwell Cove. It's best seen in wet weather. The waterfall can be reached by hiking the old forest road from the gate at the end of FR 295 (Cold Mountain Road). After 1.2 miles, the road ends at Little Rock Creek, and the waterfall is visible along a small tributary on the other side to the left. Note that the first part of FR 295 is only open to vehicles during spring and fall hunting season.
