Blue Spring Branch Falls
Johns Mountain Wildlife Management Area
Gordon County
Calhoun, GA
GPS Location:
34.52911, -85.07153
Waterfall Height:
10 feet
The southeastern slopes of Horn Mountain are home to a small waterfall in the headwaters of Blue Spring Branch. Although more of a wet-weather cascade, 10-foot Blue Spring Branch Falls is notable for its geographically unusual location in the Valley and Ridge area. It's also one of the only streams in the area lined by mountain laurel. The waterfall is located a short bushwhack away from FS Road 955F (Bow Creek Rd), down the slope, below the road's crossing of Blue Springs Branch. FS 955F can be accessed from the Hidden Creek Recreation Area.
