Booger Holler Falls is a scenic sliding waterfall found on Lance Creek just above its confluence with Jones Creek. Often overlooked, this 25-foot waterfall is a hidden gem near the Jones Creek primitive camping area. The waterfall lies in an area known as the "Booger Holler," labeled on USFS maps for the Bull Mountain multi-use trail system. Just east of the waterfall is a large Booger Holler private property inholding, surrounded by National Forest on all four sides. Formerly an old Boy Scout Retreat, the area is subdivided into a number of small private lots with several off-grid hunting cabins. Fortunately, Booger Holler Falls lies just outside the private property.

The best way to reach Booger Holler Falls is to drive to the end of FR 77A, where the road fords Lance Creek at the trailheads for Lance Creek Trail and Whoop-De-Dos Trail. The waterfall lies about 250 feet downstream from the stream ford. It can be accessed by scramble paths from either side of the creek. I myself overlooked this waterfall when writing my Waterfalls of Georgia guide, but it will certainly be highlighted in the next edition.

Notably, Jones Creek forms its own beautiful 8-foot cascade just above the Lance Creek confluence, surrounded by towering white pines. The cascade lies below the last campsite along FR 77A and is well worth seeing. From here, one can also wade the creek to Booger Holler Falls.
