Bowmans Island Falls is a wet-weather waterfall located on a small unnamed creek feeding into the Chattahoochee River from the east, half a mile below Buford Dam. The waterfall lies just northeast of a large island along the Chattahoochee known as Bowmans Island.

Bowmans Island Falls is accessed via a side trip from Lake Lanier's Laurel Ridge Trail. From the southernmost extent of the loop, take an unmarked spur trail southward, heading downstream parallel to the Chattahoochee River. Once you reach the unnamed creek home to the waterfall, follow the creek upstream for 0.25 mile to Bowmans Island Falls. This is an easy low-level bushwhack with traces of a phantom path at times. The total hike is about 1.25 miles from Buford Dam.
