Buckeye Cove Falls is a truly picturesque 80-foot waterall hidden away in the upper reaches of the Swallow Creek valley near Hiawassee. This beautiful stairstepping waterfall lies on a stream flowing out of Buckeye Cove at its confluence with Fall Branch, a notable tributary of Swallow Creek. Buckeye Cove Falls is especially spectacular during a wet spell in the springtime, when the forest comes alive with a lush rainforest-like setting. Some sources refer to this waterfall as Fall Branch Falls, but this is a misnomer given the waterfall does not lie on Fall Branch.

Buckeye Cove Falls is located past the end of Swallow Creek Road (FR 99), a high-clearance 4WD-only forest service road with several creek fords. Just past the cul-de-sac on the other side of a creek crossing, an unofficial trail follows the east side of Fall Branch for 0.25 mile up to the falls. Even though the trail is unmarked, visitors will find it mostly easy to hike with only a very mild scrambly section near the falls.
