Burnett Creek Falls

Coopers Creek Wildlife Management Area

Union County
Suches, GA

GPS Location:

34.76141, -84.01555

Waterfall Height:

30 feet

The second and best in a pair of waterfalls along Burnett Creek in the Cooper Creek valley, Burnett Creek Falls is a beautiful 30-foot single-tier waterfall sliding into a small pool. The waterfall is accessed from an unmarked trail that begins in a large primitive camping area along Cooper Creek, a half-mile above the Burnett Creek confluence, along Cooper Creek Road (FR 33). The trail fords Cooper Creek and reaches Burnett Creek in 0.5 mile. It then continues above Burnett Creek upstream along this latter creek's west side. Burnett Creek Falls lies another 0.6 mile upstream and can be reached by a short, steep bushwhack down from the trail. It's located about 0.1 mile above Lower Burnett Creek Falls, and the creek can be walked for a small loop route in between the two falls.
