Clifty Cove Falls

Chattahoochee National Forest

Stephens County
Toccoa, GA

GPS Location:

34.67906, -83.35647

Waterfall Height:

35 feet

At 0.4 mile from Yonah Dam Road, Panther Creek Road passes over an unnamed Panther Creek tributary tumbling steeply down the slopes of Abram Mountain to the north. About 400 feet up this tributary, a smaller stream joins from the left. Clifty Cove Falls lies a short distance up this second stream. This 50-foot waterfall lies in a tight box canyon surrounded by cliffs. It requires a tough, rugged bushwhack scramble to reach, as there are no trails leading up this valley.
