Lumpkin County
Dahlonega, GA

GPS Location:

Waterfall Height:

100 feet

Sliding 100 feet down a steep slanted rock face, Cowrock Falls is an impressive wet-weather waterfall in the Raven Cliffs Wilderness, located on a tributary of Cowrock Creek south of Shellott Cliffs. At normal flow, most of the flow gets funneled beneath an undercut cliff, leaving the rest of the rock face largely bare and dry. Thus, Cowrock Falls is best seen after heavy rain. It can be accessed via a short bushwhack from an unofficial trail paralleling Cowrock Creek.
