Crawford Falls, also known as Deer Leap Falls, is a gorgeous and very unusual waterfall located north of Dawsonville. Dropping into a large pool along Shoal Creek, this 40-foot free-falling waterfall lies in a nearly flat area of the foothills, well away from the Etowah River and Mount Oglethorpe. Sadly, Crawford Falls is located on private land and is strictly off-limits to the public.
