Echo Falls is a powerful 20-foot waterfall located along a deep, rugged, and trailless gorge along the upper Chattahoochee River. It lies downstream from the better known section of the river that flows by Horsetrough Falls and through Upper Chattahoochee Campground. Echo Falls is located about 1 mile downstream from the upper bridge over the Chattahoochee River along FR 44, and about 0.1 mile below the Vandiver Branch confluence. There are absolutely no trails in this part of the Chattahoochee River gorge. The only way to reach Echo Falls is with a very difficult, steep bushwhack, which includes a precarious scramble to the bottom of the falls.
