A classic summer waterfall hike, Emery Creek Falls is the largest and best known of the six waterfalls on Emery Creek, located in the southern part of Cohutta WMA. Emery Creek Falls forms a picturesque 40-foot cascade in stairstep fashion, dropping into a shallow pool great for wading around with the kids. Emery Creek Falls can be reached via a 2.3-mile hike (each way) along the Emery Creek Trail, passing through nine creek fords that range from ankle- to knee-deep.
