Just below the Mooney Branch confluence, the Etowah River flows over a small waterfall — just 10 feet high but nearly 100 feet wide. It lies on private land between Dahlonega and Dawsonville. There is no legal way for the public to access Etowah River Falls by land. However, skilled kayakers can view the falls while paddling this segment of the Etowah.
