Everett Springs Falls

Johns Mountain Wildlife Management Area

Walker County
LaFayette, GA

GPS Location:

34.58758, -85.10003

Waterfall Height:

25 feet

A few miles south of Keown Falls, a sizable unnamed tributary of Johns Creek tumbles off the Johns Mountain escarpment, forming 25-foot Everett Springs Falls along the way. The waterfall lies fairly high in the watershed and is best seen in wet weather. To get there, walk a gated forest road northward from Everett Springs Road, just west of a public fishing area where the road crosses Johns Creek. In 0.2 mile, turn left on a smaller logging road and follow it until it crests the mountain. Then, make a short off-trail bushwhack down the slope to the left to the falls. Alternatively, you can simply bushwhack along this unnamed stream up from Everett Springs Road for 0.65 mile to the falls.
