Fall Creek Falls

Dawson Forest Wildlife Management Area

Dawson County
Dawsonville, GA

GPS Location:

34.51539, -84.31844

Waterfall Height:

80 feet

One of the most picturesque waterfalls in Georgia, Fall Creek Falls is the crown jewel of Dawson Forest's Wildcat Creek Tract. This magnificent 80-foot waterfall tumbles in dozens of scenic trickles across countless multi-faceted rock outcrops. On a hike from Wildcat Campground, Fall Creek Falls is the third in a series of four waterfalls along Fall Creek. Its size largely overshadows the others, so signs along the trail call it "Fall Creek Waterfall." The waterfall lies at the end of a short signed side trail from the Fall Creek Trail, which can be accessed via the Wildcat Creek Trail from the campground, or via a steeper hike from an alternate parking lot along Monument Road. Hiking distance from Wildcat Campground to Fall Creek Falls is 3.8 miles each way.
