Forgotten Falls

Dawson Forest Wildlife Management Area

Dawson County
Dawsonville, GA

GPS Location:

34.52015, -84.30803

Waterfall Height:

100 feet

Forgotten Falls is a series of cascading waterfalls dropping about 100 feet down Huckleberry Branch at the far north end of Dawson Forest's Wildcat Creek Tract. Despite once being marked on an old Mountain Stewards trail map of the area, the waterfall is largely "forgotten" by the public and does not lie near any trails, hence the name. The waterfall is more impressive in wet weather and in winter, when the lack of leaves allows a more complete view of the full drop. Reaching Forgotten Falls requires a significant half-mile bushwhack from Lower Fall Creek Falls.
