Galloway Creek Falls
Chattahoochee National Forest
Rabun County
Clayton, GA
GPS Location:
34.96436, -83.16287
Waterfall Height:
60 feet
Galloway Creek Falls is a series of sliding waterfalls enshrouded in dense rhododendron within the headwaters of Galloway Creek near Gibbs Mountain. The total height of this long, multi-tier sliding drop is about 60 feet. An old logging road leading from Glade Road crosses the creek above the waterfall, but getting a good view of it requires tough bushwhacking. Additional waterfalls or cascades may be located farther downstream where Galloway Creek drops off another escarpment enroute to the West Fork Chattooga River.
