GPS Location:

Waterfall Height:
150 feet
Goldmine Creek Falls is a spectacular 150-foot waterfall tumbling off the west side of Fort Mountain. It's the second and primary waterfall located along Goldmine Creek within Fort Mountain State Park. Although Goldmine Creek Falls is one of the tallest waterfalls in the area, it drops in multiple tiers and somewhat hard to see all at once. The state park's Horse Trail #407 crosses Goldmine Creek at the base of the falls, providing a decent view. It looks more imposing when the leaves are off the trees. Experienced hikers will want to scramble off-trail up the boulder-filled hill to the base of the waterfall's main tier, a partial free-fall of about 50 feet.
