Hamby Branch Falls is one of two significant yet lesser-known waterfalls at Smithgall Woods State Park, Georgia's second largest state park. Located on a tributary of Dukes Creek called Hamby Branch, this multi-tiered 60-foot waterfall is also known as Martin's Mine Falls, being located near the old mineshaft and in a former hydraulic mining area. Hamby Branch Falls lies at the end of the Martin's Mine Trail. It's an easy to moderate 2.6-mile hike from the visitor center. The waterfall is best seen in wet weather.
