A spectacular 80-foot waterfall tumbling into an attractive pool, Helton Creek Falls is a popular waterfall accessed via an easy 0.2-mile hiking trail in the Blairsville area. The parking area for Helton Creek Falls lies along FR 118 (Helton Creek Rd), a gravel road in good condition for all passenger vehicles. The trail makes a gentle descent to Helton Creek before climbing a set of wooden steps to an observation deck at Helton Creek Falls. Just before the main waterfall, the trail passes a lower falls on Helton Creek, a sliding-type drop of about 35 feet. Helton Creek Falls is a beloved swimming hole destination in the summer heat.
