Henderson Falls is a fabulous little family-friendly waterfall located within the city limits of the small town of Toccoa. Known mainly to locals, 10-foot Henderson Falls is lightly visited and vastly overshadowed by the behemoth of Toccoa Falls a mile to its west. Yet despite its small size, Henderson Falls is an enjoyable destination for families and beginner waterfallers. The waterfall drops in a single-tier curtain over a small overhanging cliff with a nice wading pool at its base. A concrete stairway provides easy access to the pool, and an observation platform stands nearby.
Henderson Falls lies on a large tributary of Toccoa Creek within the city-managed Henderson Falls Park. From the nearest parking area, it is a mere 300-foot walk along a paved walkway to the falls. Below the falls, this lively stream flows through an interesting rock-sculpted gorge before joining Toccoa Creek.
