Helen, GA

GPS Location:

70 feet

Hickory Knob Falls lies along an unnamed western tributary of Chinquapin Branch, flowing down from Hickory Knob. Dropping about 70 feet in multiple tiers, this waterfall is best seen in wet weather. It can be reached after bushwhacking 0.1 mile up the tributary from the Chinquapin Branch confluence, which lies shortly downstream from Lower Chinquapin Falls. Hiking up the Chinquapin Branch valley entails a strenuous bushwhack from the gated Chimney Mountain Road (FR 79).
