Hicks Creek Falls is a long, impressive 100-foot sliding waterfall lying along Hicks Creek just above the Reed Creek confluence. The waterfall is located just past where Hicks Creek flows under Burrells Ford Road (FR 646) before making a steep descent into the Reed Creek gorge. In times of high flow, this picturesque slide splits into many beautiful stairstepping trickles and wispy ribbons. Thousands of people drive this road to the Chattooga River and have no idea this waterfall lies so close by. There is no trail to Hicks Creek Falls. Reaching it requires a short but thick bushwhack through dense rhododendron.
