Hidden Hollow Falls
Southern Nantahala Wilderness
Towns County
Tate City, GA
GPS Location:
34.97486, -83.59042
Waterfall Height:
40 feet
Hidden Holler Falls is a beautiful free-falling waterfall found along an unnamed tributary of Charlies Creek west of Tate City. About 40 feet high, this waterfall looks like a very picturesque location but is best visited in wet weather due to the small watershed size. Hidden Holler Falls is located off-trail. Visitors can access the area using an old logging road that parallels the east side of Charlies Creek from the end of FR 72 (a spur from Charlies Creek Road). However, a 0.2-mile bushwhack is then needed to access the falls.
To learn about more waterfalls in the Clayton area, see chapter 9 in Mark Ozboyd's "Waterfalls of Georgia" guidebook.
