Located just west of Dougherty Gap on Lookout Mountain, Hogjowl Gulf (also marked as Sandy Hollow on topographic maps) is home to numerous waterfalls that are significant in wet periods. While the lower portions of the gulf are part of Crockford-Pigeon Mountain WMA, every waterfall is located on private property upstream of the WMA boundary. 30-foot Hogjowl Twin Falls lies at the confluence of two branches of the gulf, each forming their own waterfall. Other waterfalls are located upstream on the east branch of the gulf but have yet to be documented.
