Wolfpen Branch is a notable tributary of the Left Fork Soquee River with several waterfalls. About 0.2 mile upstream from Wolfpen Branch Falls, the stream tumbles through a series of rhododendron-enshrouded waterfalls and cascades. Coming from the bottom, the first and largest drop here is a 35-foot slide, which has been referenced as Hollow Rock Falls. Just above it lie two lively cascades about 20 feet and 12 feet in height, unofficially referenced as Gold Nugget Falls and Washtub Falls. The stream then briefly flattens out. Several hundred feet lies a long, overgrown sliding drop which I've seen called Icy Falls.
Intrepid off-trail explorers sometimes visit Wolfpen Branch as a side trip while hiking the unofficial path to Soquee River Falls. Reaching these waterfalls requires a very difficult bushwhack along an overgrown roadbed climbing up the Wolfpen Branch valley.
