Located in the upper reaches of Turniptown Creek, Julie Anna Falls is the most beautiful and best known waterfall in the Rich Mountain Wilderness. It was once accessed using a trail along Turniptown Creek; however, access to that trail has long been closed to the public due to posted private property. Nowadays, the only legal way to reach this waterfall is via a long off-trail bushwhack over cross-country terrain from FR 338 (Rich Mountain Road). The road is open to vehicles only during spring and fall hunting seasons.
