Georgia's Trusted Local Source for Waterfall Explorations Since 2018

Katie's Falls

Chattahoochee National Forest

Habersham County
Clarkesville, GA

GPS Location:

34.67282, -83.38886

Waterfall Height:

40 feet

About 40 feet high, Katie's Falls is a picturesque stairstepping waterfall found along Wheeler Branch, which is a Panther Creek tributary near Panther Creek Falls. The Panther Creek Trail crosses Wheeler Branch 0.2 mile below Katie's Falls, making this an enticing bushwhack add-on for seasoned waterfallers. The bushwhack up Wheeler Branch is rather overgrown and challenging. Visitors to Katie's Falls more often approach the area from the east, bushwhacking down a gully from an unofficial trail off Camp Yonah Road. The trail is used by rescue crews to access Panther Creek Falls when injuries occur at this popular tourist site.
