Lance Creek Falls

Blood Mountain Wilderness

Lumpkin County
Dahlonega, GA

GPS Location:

34.70257, -83.97675

Waterfall Height:

25 feet

A major tributary of Dicks Creek, Lance Creek features a 25-foot sliding-type waterfall in the stream's upper reaches. There is no trail up the Lance Creek valley, so accessing Lance Creek Falls requires a 1.5-mile bushwhack from Dicks Creek Road. You might find traces of old logging roads along the way, one of which offers a good overview of the waterfall along the north side of Lance Creek.

To learn about more waterfalls in the Dahlonega area, see chapter 5 in Mark Ozboyd's "Waterfalls of Georgia" guidebook.
