Layered Cliff Falls

Chattahoochee National Forest

Rabun County
Tiger, GA

GPS Location:

34.85607, -83.48553

Waterfall Height:

75 feet

Located on the eastern slopes of Glassy Mountain, Layered Cliff Falls is a 75-foot waterfall located on a small tributary of Tiger Creek. Under the right conditions in wet weather, this is an impressive waterfall, tumbling over a spectacular cliff. A network of unofficial trails traverses Glassy Mountain and can be used to access Layered Cliff Falls. The best starting point on public land is at the top of the pass along Davis Gap Road, from where it is a 1.9-mile hike to Layered Cliff Falls. However, keep in mind the trail does not lead directly to the falls, rather crossing the stream below it. A short bushwhack through open woods is necessary to see the falls.
