Chattahoochee National Forest

Gilmer County
Blue Ridge, GA

GPS Location:

Waterfall Height:

40 feet

Lost Laurel Falls is a 40-foot cascading waterfall located in an isolated gorge along Laurel Creek, just outside the community of Cherry Log. The waterfall can be accessed by a tough, steep bushwhack down from the Benton MacKaye Trail at Scroggin Knob. It may be a little easier to creekwalk upstream to the waterfall from the BMT's crossing of Laurel Creek, although this would make the off-trail hike even longer.
