In between Lower DeSoto Falls and Upper DeSoto Falls, a small unmapped tributary of Frogtown Creek flows off the eastern slopes of Cedar Mountain and forms several significant wet-weather waterfalls. Lower Cedar Mountain Falls is the first waterfall on this stream. This steep sliding drop is about 100 feet high. It can be accessed via an off-trail bushwhack from the trail to Upper DeSoto Falls.
