The third and final waterfall on Goldmine Creek, Lower Goldmine Creek Falls lies much deeper in the valley near the western boundary of Fort Mountain State Park. This 60-foot waterfall drops in several sliding-type tiers before emptying into a vast pool. The creek makes a gradual bend through the waterfall, so the base does not afford a clear view of the entire drop. Lower Goldmine Creek Falls can be accessed via a short but steep off-trail bushwhack from Horse Trail #400.
