Lower Keener Creek Falls

Private Property

Rabun County
Dillard, GA

GPS Location:

PRIVATE

Waterfall Height:

200 feet

Located in the small community of Rabun Gap near the historic Dickerson Mill, Lower Keener Creek Falls is the tallest documented waterfall on Keener Creek. It lies on private property just barely outside the Chattahoochee National Forest, well downstream from the overgrown upper falls in the Keener Creek headwaters. The former southern terminus of the old, decommissioned Keener Creek Trail was located in the vicinity of Lower Keener Creek Falls and Wolffork Road, though it's unclear where precisely the trail would have started due to extensive private property here.

Lower Keener Creek Falls is an impressive series of waterfalls dropping more than 200 feet in multiple tiers. It is strictly off limits to the public. A house lies just below the falls, and its owners have constructed their own private viewing area at the falls.
