Lower Long Creek Falls

Blue Ridge Wildlife Management Area

Fannin County
Suches, GA

GPS Location:

34.66764, -84.17606

Waterfall Height:

25 feet

Lower Long Creek Falls is the first in a trio of beautiful waterfalls found along a popular section of the Appalachian Trail near Three Forks. A 25-foot sliding-type waterfall surrounded by a rhododendron thicket, Lower Long Creek Falls comes with a nice pool and sandbar at its base. The lower falls sees much less traffic than Long Creek Falls and lies in a more secluded setting. Lower Long Creek Falls can be accessed via a mild, unmarked scramble path branching off from the Appalachian Trail.
