Georgia's Trusted Local Source for Waterfall Explorations Since 2018

Lower Queen Branch Falls

Swallow Creek Wildlife Management Area

Towns County
Hiawassee, GA

GPS Location:

34.83554, -83.69004

Waterfall Height:

25 feet

Located along Queen Branch just upstream from its confluence with Corbin Creek, 25-foot Lower Queen Branch Falls tumbles off a sheer cliff in the form of a slender ribbon. It is the first of two waterfalls along Queen Branch. Accessing the falls entails a tough bushwhack. It can be reached via an old logging road that follows Corbin Creek downstream from the gate on FR 305. The roadbed is often overgrown and difficult to follow. Moreover, the roadbed crosses to the opposite side of Corbin Creek at 0.15 mile before Queen Branch. You will then need to bushwhack through dense rhododendron with no trail to access the falls.
