Lower Reed Creek Falls
Chattahoochee National Forest
Rabun County
Clayton, GA
GPS Location:

Waterfall Height:
20 feet
Lower Reed Creek Falls is the lowermost of three waterfalls along Reed Creek. This 20-foot waterfall lies in a remote area about 0.2 mile below Reed Creek Falls. Seeing it requires a very tough and long bushwhack from Burrells Ford Road (FR 646), with absolutely no trails through the dense rhododendron. Another possible way to access the falls would be via unofficial fishermens' trail along the Chattooga River from Russell Bridge on Highway 28 to Reed Creek. From here, one can bushwhack upstream along Reed Creek to this waterfall and Reed Creek Falls. This bushwhack is just as tough, but the off-trail segment is slightly shorter.
