Lower Steep Creek Falls is the first notable waterfall on Steep Creek, an aptly-named tributary tumbling steeply into the Smith Creek gorge near Anna Ruby Falls. This steep slide is about 50 feet high. Greg Ford references this waterfall as Accomplishment Falls in his Facebook album documenting Steep Creek. Reaching the falls requires a rugged, difficult bushwhack from Anna Ruby Falls, mainly appropriate for hardcore waterfallers. A 120-foot waterfall lies farther upstream on Steep Creek in even more rugged off-trail terrain.
