Lower Tabor Falls

Lake Russell Wildlife Management Area

Habersham County
Cornelia, GA

GPS Location:

34.53619, -83.44708

Waterfall Height:

15 feet

Lower Tabor Falls is located along an unnamed tributary of the Middle Fork Broad River about 0.1 mile downstream from Tabor Falls. Despite being overshadowed by the magnificence of Tabor Falls, this picturesque 15-foot waterfall is well worth visiting too. It drops in two small but scenic tiers, with a shallow pool lying at the base of the falls. Lower Tabor Falls can be reached via a phantom goat path that continues downstream past the side path descending to the bottom of Tabor Falls. After meandering through mountain laurel, the overgrown path gradually descends to the creek near the top of Lower Tabor Falls.
