Lower Vandiver Branch Falls

Chattahoochee Wildlife Management Area

White County
Helen, GA

GPS Location:

34.77630, -83.77876

Waterfall Height:

15 feet

A steep tributary of the upper Chattahoochee River, Vandiver Branch is home to a pair of seldom seen off-trail waterfalls. While the upper falls is located near FR 44, the 15-foot Lower Vandiver Branch Falls lies farther downstream in a remote gorge at the stream's confluence with the Chattahoochee. Reaching this point requires a very difficult, overgrown bushwhack. It lies along one of the general routes that explorers use to access Echo Falls.
