GPS Location:

Waterfall Height:

30 feet

Lower Wildcat Falls is the first of several small waterfalls found along Wildcat Creek just west of Lake Burton. About 30 feet high, this is the largest waterfall on the creek and can be glimpsed through the trees from Wildcat Road (FR 26-1). Reaching the bottom requires a tough scramble down the hill without much of a clear path. In recent years, Wildcat Road has undergone an extended road closure due to landslide damage. If the road ever reopens, perhaps a better scramble path will become established to this nice waterfall.
