Middle Denton Creek Falls
Southern Nantahala Wilderness
Rabun County
Tate City, GA
GPS Location:
34.98587, -83.54788
Waterfall Height:
30 feet
A 30-foot sliding waterfall, Middle Denton Creek Falls lies about 300 feet upstream from Denton Creek Falls. This smaller waterfall is overshadowed by the lower and upper falls, and there is no trail leading directly to it. The unofficial trail to Upper Denton Creek Falls follows the mountainside well above Middle Denton Creek Falls, necessitating a steep off-trail scramble down through the open, rocky woods to the middle falls. Still, avid waterfallers will find this scenic waterfall to be a nice bonus along their hike to the upper falls.
