Middle Thomas Creek Falls
Chattahoochee National Forest
Rabun County
Dillard, GA
GPS Location:
34.95163, -83.33872
Waterfall Height:
40 feet
Middle Thomas Creek Falls is the second of five significant waterfalls along Thomas Creek, which is a major tributary of Darnell Creek near Dillard. Dropping over an imposing cliff, this 40-foot waterfall lies about 0.3 mile upstream from Big Thomas Creek Falls. Similarly, it's located just down the steep slope from Darnell Creek Road (FR 150), although the bushwhack down to this one is much easier. The terrain is still rather steep, but the trek is short and the vegetation is pretty open.
