GPS Location:

Waterfall Height:

25 feet

Negro Branch Falls is a two-tiered 25-foot waterfall located on a stream labeled as Negro Branch, feeding into Patterson Creek near Dillard. The waterfall is named for the stream name. I have noticed that Negro Branch has recently become an unlabeled stream on Google Maps, but USGS topographic maps continue to label it as Negro Branch, so I am leaving the waterfall name as is. Negro Branch Falls has a small, scenic free-falling upper tier and a cluttered lower tier. It is surrounded by lots of lush, mossy logs and rocks. The waterfall lies slightly off-trail down a steep slope, near an unofficial trail leading up this valley from Patterson Gap Road (FR 32).
