Cypress Resort

Pickens County
Jasper, GA

GPS Location:

34.45223, -84.46847

Waterfall Height:

50 feet

Located just west of the Pickens County Airport, Padgett Falls is a beautiful 50-foot waterfall marked on USGS topographic maps along a tributary of Pettit Creek. It lies on private property, which has traditionally been off limits to the public. However, the property is now owned by the brand new Cypress Resort, which invited its first guests in January 2026. Expansion of the resort is expected to continue all the way through 2029. The resort property will include 4-5 miles of hiking trails with access to the waterfall. This access is for guests of Cypress Resort only, and not available to the general public. Upper Salem Church Road sometimes provides a marginal view of the falls through the trees down below. You won't see much of anything in the summer.
