Located in the popular vacation area of Lake Rabun, Panther Falls is a beloved easy waterfall hike located just minutes from the lake. Panther Falls is a 70-foot stairstepping waterfall lying on Joe Creek. The waterfall's many stairstepping ledges are especially picturesque during wetter periods. Panther Falls can be reached via an easy 0.9-mile hike along the Angel Falls Trail from Lake Rabun Road. Despite the name of the trail, Panther Falls is the most scenic waterfall along this trail, but Angel Falls lies farther upstream along Joe Creek. There is also a direct trail to Panther Falls from the Lake Rabun Campground.
