Peridot Falls is a 30-foot off-trail waterfall located in the uppermost reaches of Holcomb Creek on the northern slopes of Rabun Bald, 0.15 mile above Hope Diamond Falls. Reaching it requires a long and very difficult bushwhack, for the whole area is engulfed in some of the thickest rhododendron I've ever seen. Although the Bartram Trail passes relatively close, you will find it extremely tough to reach the falls from the trail. This one is for hardcore waterfallers only and is best seen in wet weather.
