Polecat Falls is the second waterfall on Ride-a-Horse Branch, found higher near the stream's headwaters on Upper Polecat Mountain. The waterfall lies about 0.2 miles upstream from Ride-a-Horse Branch Falls. It's a large sliding-type drop but rather cluttered with debris. Reaching Polecat Falls requires a tough bushwhack, and an especially difficult climb around the west side of Ride-a-Horse Branch Falls through very steep terrain.
